I just bought the Asus rog Strix scope TKL keyboard. Before this, I was using the Rapoo N2400 Wired Spill-resistant Keyboard. Not that the Rapoo is a bad keyboard. For its price point, it did its job very well. My only complaint was that the dust could pile up between the keys. So it needed cleaning very often. I could game with it without any problems, and it could handle my daily social media typing well. I think it's a perfect entry-level keyboard.
As I started this blog, I felt that it was time for an upgrade. So I went online to research the matter. The ASUS keyboard comes with a wrist rest which was a game-changer for me. Magnets I never tried it before, but now I highly recommend it. Magnets are holding it firm to the keyboard. It means that you can detach it easily if you want to pack your keyboard into a backpack. Giving the keyboard's dimensions, it will fit in any medium-sized bag. I can't go back to my old keyboard.
This keyboard being a TKL(TenKeyLess keyboard) - which means it comes without the 10 key numeric keypad on the right side.
The switches are the Cherry MX RGB Red, which offers super-smooth keystrokes. The whole typing experience is just on another level now.
Dedicated stealth key - I never really thought I need one until I tried it. It just mutes all your sounds and minimizes all the tasks to the taskbar. With another push, you can restore all your applications, programs and audio just the way it was before.
You can download the ASUS AURA SYNC RGB software - which lets you control the illumination on your keyboard. The only con is that the wrist rest hides the light in the front of the keyboard. I think ASUS should have placed it on the sides or the top part.
I would like to say thank you if you made it this far. Check out my other content as well. Feel free to leave a comment. See you in the next one.
